I am beginning my 13th year of teaching and I am looking forward to working with students, teachers, and parents this 2012 -2013 school year. 

I graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Social Science.  I have Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a CLAD (Cross-cultural, Language, Academic Development) emphasis from Saint Mary's College in Moraga.  I have a Master of Science of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literature and Reading from Cal State Hayward.

In addition to the excellent staff development training the San Ramon District provides to all teachers, I also continue to pursue many opportunities for professional development through workshops, seminars, and graduate-level classes, as well as maintaining membership in several professional organizations, such as National Council for Teachers of English, International Reading Association, California Association for Teachers of English, and the National Middle School Association. These memberships include subscriptions to their professional publications which I find incredibly informative, practical, and inspirational. I like to keep on top of things! I continually work to update my skills in teaching strategies and technology in order to provide the best quality instruction to my students.
